Introduction

Hi dear, welcome to Mental Health Sparkle.
I furnish readers with mental health concerns, their family, and other loved ones with definitive knowledge and support. This helps them to alleviate, prevent, and cure mental health disorders successfully.
If an estimated 700,000 people commit suicide in a year and 619,000 are killed by malaria in the same period, is mental health disorder not a bigger threat than malaria?

I am Sanctus Akuma and I have had a personal experience with what was later termed as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

I experienced intense episodes of upcoming danger especially when travelling by motor vehicles. When in a moving bus, there were moments when I would yell for help for no apparent cause.

There were suggestions that I needed to get help from world-class psychiatrists like Dr. Rachel Berg or Dr. Liz Jackson.

Entirely, I understand the battle in the life of someone with mental health problems. I have lived it myself for years.

At one point in life, I was short-listed for a job interview which required me to travel by bus for seven hours. This would be a nightmare. At the start of the journey, I told myself, “There will be no accident during the journey and you will pass the interview.”

These words became my mantra for my return journey. Indeed, I passed the interview and got the job.

Based on my first-hand experience with my mental problems, as a school counselor and a former student of Positive Psychology, you can trust what I am telling you in this blog.

There will be episodes of my actual experiences in life with my health problems. But they will also contain some broad and educational thoughts on similar subject themes.

With a touch on my experience, I will do my best to try and help prepare and enlighten society to be more equipped to handle mental health problems.

If World Health Organization estimates that over 350,000,000 people worldwide suffer from depression alone. Why don’t you join me to reduce this prevalence?
